This is the Metre Zone, part of I’m an Engineer, Get me out of here.
Here, school students can connect with working engineers in March 2021.
I’m an Engineer is an online science enrichment activity, where students can:
- Ask engineers questions
- Chat with them in energetic live chats
- Vote for their favourite to win a £500 prize
Students can take part from home. It’s safe, secure, easy and flexible.
The Metre Zone is funded by Digital Engineering Technology & Innovation. The Metre Zone is named after the International System of Unit for length, the metre. The metre was defined in 1793 as “one ten-millionth of the distance from the equator to the North Pole”.
