• Question: How tough is it to work out the aero dynamics for a planes wing to work

      Hi,

      Sometimes it can be really difficult, it is different for every wing and aircraft really. It also depends how accurate we need to be – for a preliminary design we can spend a bit less time on it, but if we are designing an aircraft that people are going to fly on then we need to be a lot more detailed in our work.

      The good thing is that we have lots of good software and tools that help us do the design and analysis of the aerodynamics, and it is always interesting exploring how the wing is working!
